Knowle.-- township and vil. with ry. sta., Hampton in Arden par., Warwickshire, 9½ miles SE. of Birmingham, pop. 1514; P.O., T.O., and P.O. at sta., called Knowle Station; the church is of great antiquity. The Midland Counties Asylum for idiots is in the vil.
