King's co., on Grand Canal, 16 miles NW. of Portarlington and 58 miles W. of Dublin, 841 ac., pop. 5098; P.O., T.O., 2 Banks, 1 newspaper. Market-days, Tuesday and Saturday. It has a distillery and a tobacco manufactory.
