Ure, river, North-Riding Yorkshire; rises on W. border of co., 7 miles W. of Muker, and flows 50 miles E. and SE. past Hawes, Askrigg, Middleham, Masham, Ripon, and Boroughbridge to Myton, where it unites with the Swale to form the Ouse.
