Devil's Bridge, hamlet, 10 miles SE. of Aberystwith, Cardiganshire; P.O.; takes its name from a double bridge, lower and upper, across a chasm 114 ft. deep traversed by the river Mynach; the lower was built in the 11th century, and the upper (20 ft. over it) in 1753; the chasm is upwards of a mile long, and the river in traversing it makes four falls of 18,60,20, and 110 ft.
