Blackwater.-- the largest and most beautiful river in the province of Munster; rising in SE. co. Kerry, it flows E. through cos. Cork and Waterford, turning to the S. before it enters Youghal harh. It is about 100 miles long, and is navigable 12 miles for barges and flat-bottomed boats to Mallow. Its chief affluents are the Bride, Allua, Funcheon, Araglin, and Finisk.
