TREFOREST, a hamlet in Llantwit-Vairdre parish, Glamorgan; on the Taff Vale railway, 11¾ miles NNW of Cardiff. It has a post-office under Pontypridd, and a r. station; and extensive tin-plate works are adjacent. Pop., 921.
