A vision of Britain from 1801 to now.
Including maps, statistical trends and historical descriptions.
The divisions of the moorland in the Aysgarth area were poorly defined, and the census reports often list units for which they do not provide separate statistics. This unit is listed as part of Hawes sub-District in 1891 and 1901, and was presumably distinct from Mossdale Moor, which was also common to Bainbridge and Hawes but in Askrigg sub-District. From 1911 onwards, Mossdale Moor and Wether Fell were listed as a single unit within Hawes, and presumably also included this area.
We know of no alternate names.
